There is not much wrong with Hershey’s current logo. It is probably not the most interesting logotype, but it has equity and is certainly very recognizable, which makes for a very good logo.

However, wouldn’t it be fun if somebody decided to write “Hershey’s” out in chocolate syrup?

For this exercise, I did just that, writing Hershey’s again and again with brush, and giving it more contrast and weight by redrawing it in graphite again and again.
