Jinling Hotel (金陵饭店)
Jinling Hotel was the first five star hotel in Nanjing, China, and once the highest building in China. It is considered a landmark in the city, and is still held in very high regard to this day.

As an excercise, I decided to draw a logo for the Jinling Hotel. However, I had some doubts about using a Western lettering style to create a logo for a Chinese hotel.

As a solution, using the flourishes, I gave it just a hint of the form of a stylistic Chinese cloud, giving it an decidedly Eastern flavor.
