Mastering the Cello

Somebody told me I'll never master the cello because I'm also spending my time playing other instruments. I think that's okay. I don't think we should play to be good at playing. I play because I want to listen and appreciate beauty on a much deeper and intimate level, measure by measure, note by note. And if I get pretty good at playing, I'd consider that a nice side effect.
